Rainy Wisconsin Maternity Photos | Lindsay

Lindsay and I had so much fun capturing her maternity photos in the Wisconsin countryside. The natural landscape of Wisconsin is gorgeous, and even though the weather gave us a hard time at the start of the session we made it work and ended up with some incredible photos. Lindsay is a very go with the flow kind of person so she was down for anything, even photos in the rain which just goes to show how you can make magic happen in any condition.

Lindsay’s First Maternity Session

Lindsay and I met over 12 years ago through our local swim team, and as a soon to be mother of 4 (currently 3) in Wisconsin, this is actually her first time having maternity photos done! I was so happy to get the chance to catch up with her and capture this incredible moment in her life. Maternity sessions are so special and beautiful, and I absolutely love documenting them. There’s something so amazing about the human body creating an entire new person which is why I feel that having a maternity session is something everyone should experience if they plan on having children. It’s a totally unique experience to capture which you’ll see from Lindsay’s maternity photos in the Wisconsin countryside.

Wisconsin Maternity Photos

As I mentioned earlier we originally had some rain during Lindsay’s maternity session, so I broke out my clear umbrella for her to use and I am so happy that she was down to work with me. The rain really added some magic to our session, not only while it was happening, but it made the Wisconsin landscape we were working with feel so lush for the rest of Lindsay’s maternity photos. We took our time walking around the fields, exploring the countryside, and just having the best time together while capturing Lindsay at this incredible stage in her life. Our session ended on the perfect note with a breathtaking golden hour and the sun breaking through the clouds in the sky!

I seriously could not be happier with how Lindsay’s maternity session went. Even with Wisconsin throwing some curveballs our way in regards to the weather we still ended up with some amazing maternity photos for Lindsay!
